A Leak-Proof Brand Checklist

The inimitable Seth Godin (no, I don’t do his PR– it only seems that way) blogs today about what he calls, “The Marketer’s Attitude.”

Wait–keep reading – even if you don’t consider yourself a marketer.

‘Cuz guess what? We’re all marketers….of ourselves, our brands, our companies. Branding is just a more encompassing word for the daily acts of positioning, visibility and broadcasting  we all must do to keep ourselves afloat and alive in the minds of our customers, our opinion-makers, and the people that we would like to do business with.

Commit what Seth has to say to memory — about being “relentlessly positive,” completing “audacious projects,” being “comfortable with ambiguity,” “telling stories,” and “being restlessly intellectual.” He busts out of marketing speak with tactile language that goes straight to the heart of what all of us need to do to create, sustain and profit from the brand identities that are so crucial to success.
