Personal Branding Takes to the Skies!
Warning: more shameless self-promotion. In this month’s issue of American Way magazine, I am featured in an article by writer John Carroll, called "The Brand New You." Not accessible on the magazine’s website (what’s up with this????), you’ll have to read it here. But it’s worth waiting for the download (sorry…my site is slow).
I used a client, CA Brandt & Associates, as an example of the transformative power of brand thinking. Cindy Brandt had participated at a workshop I gave. An accountant, she was the first to say that "accountants are boring." How, I challenged her, was she going to set herself and her services apart from the rest of the faceless CPA masses? The lightbulb for her was a bottle of aspirin (this in response to my now infamous question–if you were a thing what would you be?). Why aspirin? Because "it takes the pain away." Bingo!
So, unless you want to spend the money for a plane ticket on AA, click on this link. Happy reading!
